Whiskey Highball

Japanese whisky and chilled soda make a clean, spare highball whose texture depends on keeping the carbonation lively. This Suntory-based serve uses three measures of soda to one of whisky and a lemon peel.

Ingredients

  • 45 ml Suntory Kakubin blended whisky
  • 135 ml Chilled soda water
  • 1 piece Lemon peel

Instructions

  1. Fill a chilled highball glass with cubed ice.
  2. Pour in the cold whisky and stir briefly.
  3. Add the chilled soda and lift the mixture gently once with a spoon.
  4. Express the optional lemon peel over the drink and add it.
