Accidental Cocktail

Batavia arrack, orange liqueur and wine-based amaro form a short stirred mixture seasoned with a little salt. A separate bitter-wine rinse coats the glass, with an orange peel added at service.

Ingredients

  • 37.5 ml Batavia Arrack van Oosten
  • 22.5 ml Orange curaçao liqueur
  • 15 ml Cardamaro wine-based amaro
  • 2.5 ml Elisir Novasalus wine-based amaro
  • 1 pinch Fine salt
  • 1 piece Orange peel, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Swirl the Novasalus around a chilled coupe to coat it, then pour away any excess.
  2. Stir arrack, orange curaçao, Cardamaro and the small salt pinch with cubed ice until cold.
  3. Strain into the prepared glass, express an orange peel above the drink and add it.
